25 March 2008 Deep Dark Woods
Today was a beautiful early spring day, and I was inspired to walk to go pick up Genbo and Zoe from daycare instead of the usual drive.
OK, that’s a lie. Maki accidentally brought our only surviving car key with her to work, so I was forced to walk. Was glad I did, though. Brought my favorite lens and had a nice leisurely picture-taking stroll to the daycare, grateful that we live where we do.
(The name of this post comes from what Genbo always calls anything from a clump of trees to a forest, an expression originating from a great children’s book.)

The second photo of the mossy forest floor is my favorite. It’s very rich with mood and light. Well done.

Yeah, I really like that one, too. You can’t really appreciate it without seeing the original file, but the rock has incredible detail even at f2, which is just damn impressive.

Yeah, I have to agree: I love the second pic.
