5 September 2007 Rice Redux
Here are some more photos taken down by the rice fields near the lake. In the first one you can see a ferris wheel in the background. Japanese people have an inexplicable thing for massive ferris wheels. Building them, at least. Not sure I’ve ever heard of anyone actually riding one.

I know at least one person who’s been in on. Nils Ferry says that his son Greg (who is about the same age as Genbo) loved the view from on top from an early age (yet, for some reason, has until recently been reluctant to ride on a swing… go figure).
I’m a sucker for shots like the 2nd… I really love it.
