Wow, what a small world. I used to work with Dan (“this guy”) at Yahoo. I had no idea he was into photography, and likely he had no idea about me. I always felt bad because I sort of put my foot in my mouth the first time I met him in 1997, making a negative comment about one of our sites that turned out he had designed. I think I bought him a beer to try to make up for it (we were at a bar with a bunch of Yahoos at the time), but I never have been able to forget. Sorry Dan!
When I saw he worked at Yahoo a long time ago I thought about asking you if you knew him, but then thought “Naww….”
I ran across his site when someone on Dpreview linked to it (because he uses the 85mm PC tilt/shift). Come to think of it, that’s how I ran across your site to begin with as well.
Friedl, you punk! I remember that night! :-) No, no worries, the beer erased all hard feelings. You do photography too? Very cool! This all goes under the heading of “small world”.
